Here is the last of three Blog posts regarding the Conference. Before you read this post, please Read, Comment, and Think about my previous two Blog posts on "Utility Marketing" and "Feedback".
I have read each of your Conference Job Pages on the Wiki over the weekend and tried to provide some useful feedback on the content you added. Now it is time for you to do the same.
Most project and marketing managers already have posted decent project and marketing plans. All teams have selected a workshop management topic and software application. Now we need more content or value.
It is a good idea to take a final review of the conference overview document, which includes the workshop format and report, or "material", requirements by job description. For the "workshop descriptions", the focus should be on adding some more content on the Management topic. The workshop format description includes the requirement to "Provide practical examples of how the skill can be applied" in addition to an overview of the topic. Perhaps we can have a Management Tip section, and slide as Software Tips. We have also discussed including how the Management Topic is important, or relevant, to business and PRACTICAL for students. Think of content that would add value, or utility, to your workshops.
Here is a proposed strategy for this week to complete your report "material*" and add some more content to our workshops and conference. It is time for the class to hit the "Performing" stage of team development.
This week, the individual manager and executive conference report "material*" is due on April 25th. You should print to hand in for the class, add to your Wiki page, and SUBMIT online. The Strategy test is still scheduled for Friday.
Next week (April 28 - May 2) we will focus on our Marketing and the final preparations before our first practice session on the week of May 5-9.

- Project managers immediately help the workshop managers add content to their workshop descriptions. The descriptions should be about a page of written material.
- Marketing Managers have to start their Workshop Presentations and add what Tech and Workshop Managers have provided and add additional content from your own research and thinking. Remember Utility and Value to the customer.
- Tech managers can update their Tech summary and tips. Perhaps add some screen shots of specific functions you want to share or provide tips on. You can also add content about how your software application helps or relates to the management topic.
- Workshop Managers have to add content and update their material each day so Marketing can add to your presentation. Here is a list of research and information that the class has already invested time to learn about and create content. If this does not work, then do some additional research and thinking.
- Monday Morning Manager Article Reviews. Look for articles related to your management topic. People who did the review can add to any workshop managers page.
- Individual Workshop Article Reviews and Proposals that everyone in the class has already completed. Ask the members of your team to review theirs and add content to the Workshop Manager page? Add it to another teams page if better suited to them.
- The class textbook. We have already gone through 7 Chapters and you can search your management topic in the index to find more.
