Last week, I believe we may have lost some control and motivation? We are late with our Marketing Launch and I have not seen the collaboration (feedback, constructive comments, and sharing ideas) in class or on the Wiki as expected. We had a Lab booked Friday and half the class including the entire Executive were not in attendance. It is time for everyone to step up, get yourselves motivated, and help finalize all of the workshop and conference material. Lets get this conference started!
I will be marking the Workshop and Executive introductory presentations on Wednesday in the Auditorium. Be prepared to present, print any speaking notes in advance, and SUBMIT your teams final presentations on the class website by the end of day on Tuesday. Everything should also be updated on the Wiki and the Prezi and perhaps PowToons will only be on the Wiki.
On the project Twitter requirements. There is info on the Wiki about using Twitter and if you need help ask. Please see me if there are any issues with using Twitter and I will give you an alternate marketing assignment as promoting the conference on Twitter is part of the Conference Participation criteria documented on the Rubric. You are expected to Follow @STLTConference and Tweet or Re-tweet information, including #pcstlt, about the conference, your workshop, or related information (articles, videos, blogs) about your management or software application. View the examples I have already tweeted to #pcstlt and #pcssboh4m and do your own research about how Twitter is used to promote and share information about conferences.
On Monday, I will give time in class to have a formal divisional team meeting and then a functional team meeting. There should already be a Things to Do list on all teams (WS and Exec) main Wiki pages, which should serve as an initial agenda. The Minutes should also be completed and action items updated.
Make sure you review and comment or reply to the earlier Blog posts and Wiki comments. Please Review the previous Blog posts for instructions on things to do for the conference, the Status Report and Organizational Culture questions which are due on Monday, and the upcoming test. I handed back the Strategy Test in class on Friday.
Have a good weekend and do something nice with your family.
